Esanatoglia (Macerata). A masterstroke, a final strike delivered with great authority to seize the victory of the day and also secure the top spot in the overall standings. Daniele Braidot from the Centro Sportivo Carabinieri Cicli Olympia claimed the final stage of the Internazionali d’Italia Series in Esanatoglia, Macerata, and also took the lead in the overall classification for the 2025 edition. The athlete from Gorizia crossed the finish line alone, with a 1’15” lead over Emanuele Bocchio Vega. Emanuele Huez, another member of the Olympia F1-X team, joined the podium in third place. His delay behind the winner was 1’37”.
Among the women, Nicole Pesse stood out by taking second place.
Daniele pushed the pace right from the first lap, quickly creating a significant gap. The situation remained stable for most of the race. Our representative never eased up on the pace, making all the opponents’ attempts to catch up futile.
“I started strong, found my rhythm, and everything went perfectly. I’m really happy with the condition I’m in right now,” said Daniele Braidot. “Now we have other important events ahead, and I want to perform well there too. Winning the Internazionali d’Italia Series jersey this time feels a bit less satisfying than the last one, because I regret taking it from Filippo Fontana. It went like this, but he’s young, and I’m sure he’ll have other chances to make up for it.”
Filippo Fontana had led the Internazionali d’Italia Series until a serious injury temporarily took him off the scene. This victory is dedicated to him, with hopes to see him back soon, showcasing his talent and determination as always.
