The image that defines the 23rd edition of the Ciclocross del Ponte is a portrait of triumph: Filippo Fontana lifts his Olympia high in the air at the finish line in Faè di Oderzo. The course of the Treviso race became the perfect stage for the great talent of Italian cyclocross, who confidently added this edition of an increasingly iconic competition to his list of achievements.

In the main event of the program, the men’s Open category, the leading athlete of Centro Sportivo Carabinieri – Olympia repeated his success from the 2023 edition.

The race was decided during the second lap. At the front, a leading duo had formed with Fontana and Federico Ceolin. Filippo set an unmatchable pace for his rivals, gaining ground lap after lap on Ceolin and the rest of the field. It was a display of strength and skill that thrilled the crowd in Faè: agility and precision in line changes, explosiveness in accelerations, and rock-solid consistency on the straights. The son of a champion (his father Alessandro had won on this very course in 2005) was able to enjoy the support of his home crowd and cross the finish line as the undisputed protagonist.

Joining Filippo Fontana on the podium were Bertolini and Ceolin.

Filippo’s season continues with a growing series of high-profile events: he will be in Belgium from December 19 to January 4 for seven races between the World Cup and Superprestige series. Among his goals are the national title and a strong result at the World Championships.
