Claudia Peretti could not have asked for a better start to 2026: overall victory at the Andalucía Bike Race, highlighted by an impressive string of stage wins. Racing alongside Natalia Fisher, the two quickly found perfect harmony. They conceded only the opening time trial to their rivals before taking control in Stage 2 in Jaén with a solid performance and adding three consecutive victories, including the queen stage in Córdoba.
This run of success allowed Claudia and Natalia to build a commanding lead and seal the event with a total time of 10:55:55 — more than 14 minutes ahead of their closest challengers.
Traditionally selective due to its demanding elevation profiles, technical terrain and relentless pace from the very first stages, the race rewarded their all-around strength. While Fisher brought experience and in-depth knowledge of the course, Peretti delivered consistency, sharpness on punchy sections and strength in the marathon segments. The result was a steadily consolidated lead, built not on spectacular attacks but on constant pressure applied to their rivals.
During the central stages, historically decisive for the overall standings, the duo set a high yet controlled pace, avoiding risky spikes in effort and maximizing teamwork in exposed windy sections and on long climbs. That is precisely where the difference was made: not only in speed, but in energy management, a crucial factor in a five-day race.
On rocky trails and in the most technical segments, Claudia rode her F1-X with confidence and precision, minimizing mistakes and lapses in concentration.
For the Olympia Factory Team rider, this success marks an important milestone in her international journey and confirms her growth in managing longer stage races.
