To eliminate potential stress points in the stays' matching area, Olympia uses a separate brake calliper support. The rear derailleur dropout is "sunk" in the frame and is secured by a ring nut, to enhance design line homogeneity and maximise stability.

F1-X Stability Control

The characteristic “O” shape and considerable steering assembly solidity are among the strengths of F1 and guarantee its optimal ridability. This makes it possible to considerably reduce steering bending which enables a limited steering angle to be maintained, for a more compact total wheelbase and excellent handling. The seat tube coupling has also been reinforced and is stronger and more responsive.

Thanks to the “double-mould” EPS technology, maximised surface and thickness control can be achieved both inside and outside the frame. The result is a polished, sleek frame design, without excess material, perfectly in line with design specifications.

The F1-X geometry has been further upgraded in line with the latest requirements of bikers who are facing increasingly technical downhill stretches and twisty routes. Extended reach, 69° open steering angle, Stability Control, 44mm rake fork, and a 75° forward mounted column tube make this bike suitable for competitive fun lovers.

The rear stay design has been fine-tuned. The special configuration of the stays allows the carbon fibre to flex even with the suspension fully closed. The carbon fibre link saves extra weight. All this, combined with the Trunnion suspension, allows for a +5mm longer travel, with the rear stay working in a more compact and gradual manner in all conditions.

Olympia’s flagship dual shock-absorber bike continues to evolve with more lightness, stability and safety. Many structural improvements characterize the new F1-X: from a lower stack to a shorter stay by 5 mm, from a verticalised seat tube to a longer horizontal reach, balanced by the steering angle and a reduced rake from 51 to 44.
The monocoque frame is made of T1000, T800, T700 and M40J fibres. Thanks to the EPS technology, which eliminates excess material from the inner surface, weight has been reduced by 200 grams, while stiffness has been increased. The new F1-X uses a carbon link and a Fox Float DPS shock absorber with standard trunnion. The compression of the rear stay has been improved. The rear stay has been reshaped for more elasticity when the shock absorber is off and to increase linearity on bumps. Cables run over the bottom bracket and are connected to the stay, for greater cable protection.
