Claudia Peretti and Filippo Fontana: two Olympia F1-X riders starring in the battle among MTB titans, two Italian national jerseys honoured down to the last drop of sweat. Claudia finished fifth in the Marathon World Championship in Verbier Val d’Anniviers, in the canton of Valais, while Filippo secured eighth place in the XCO World Championship after a powerful comeback, following a start at the back of the pack. It’s hard to ask for more from either of them.

For Filippo (C.S. Carabinieri Olympia), this season has been an obstacle course. A serious injury sidelined him during the central part of the season, forcing him into a long and difficult recovery. Less than a month after returning to racing, he claimed a well-deserved top ten spot at the World Championship, holding his own like a true champion among the world’s best XCO athletes. That eighth place means a lot, and his tab with good luck is definitely building up.

Claudia Peretti (Olympia Factory Team) can be satisfied with her World Championship performance. The strongest Italian rider in long-distance events continues to close in on the podium. Her fifth-place finish in Verbier is her best result ever at a World Championship and will certainly motivate her to keep improving, especially with the 2026 World Championships set to take place in Italy.
