REGGIO CALABRIA. The crown of Italian Marathon MTB is back in the hands of Claudia Peretti. At the Elite Italian Championship in Reggio Calabria, the Piedmont rider of the Olympia Factory Team started as the clear favorite and fully lived up to expectations: as soon as the race came alive, her outstanding talent immediately made the difference.

Her strategy was the same that paved the way to many of her most prestigious victories: setting a relentless pace from the very beginning and then managing the advantage with composure and intelligence. Claudia opened a decisive gap already on the first climb, dropping all her rivals with an irresistible acceleration. From that moment on, she controlled the race with confidence and cold blood, avoiding unnecessary risks on the descents while always keeping the situation under control.

At the finish line on the seafront of Piazza Indipendenza in Reggio Calabria, the clock stopped at 4h05’26”, but the statistic that best highlights her dominance is the gap she put on her rivals: by the time the first chaser crossed the line, Claudia had already finished almost six minutes earlier. A commanding performance that earned her the Italian Marathon Champion jersey for the third time in her career, following her victories in Casella in 2022 and Letojanni in 2024.

The Aspromonte mountains provided a spectacular and highly selective setting for the tenth edition of the Aspromarathon. The demanding and technical course covered 77 kilometers between the sea and the trails of the Aspromonte National Park, with more than 2,500 meters of elevation gain acting as a true filter. In this environment, Claudia displayed all the qualities that make her one of the stars of Italian mountain biking: physical strength, experience, and exceptional race management. Hers was a clean and consistent race, without the slightest drop in pace. Joining her on the podium were Mara Fumagalli and Chiara Gualandi.

This new tricolore jersey once again confirms her status: Claudia Peretti is the queen of Italian marathon MTB.

Excellent news for Olympia also came from the e-bike racing scene. In Gallicano (Lucca), the third round of the Italian Ebike Enduro FMI Championship took place, and the riders of the Team Snep Olympia delivered strong performances: Filippo Colarusso claimed victory both in the E1 category and in the overall classification, while Federico Ciucci finished second in the ES category (P6 overall) and Diego Calistri secured third place in the EM category.

A weekend truly worth remembering!
